With the RHI for Heat Pumps coming to a close at the end of March, Bowller have been informed that the Boiler Upgrade Scheme will allow funding for users and should be live in May. One of the only subsidies remaining for household upgrades, means that naturally people will gravitate towards a heat pump and of course they should be a consideration. Bowller always advise customers to err with caution when considering a Heat Pump due to it not being the correct solution for retrofit homes, but if underfloor heating and resizing of radiators is something that you are considering as part of any household refit, an ASHP is an excellent way of using renewable energy to heat your home.
ASHP are measured on the coefficient performance – COP and the engineers who survey the property should always take this into consideration before feeding back to the end user. If the Heat Pump stacks up, it can operate very successfully with any Solar PV & Battery Storage array and is another source which will assist in futureproofing your home. Bowller have branched into the Heat Pump world as the Government continues to push people away from Gas and Oil and will always provide the correct advice to the end user in terms of feasibility and practicality. A huge piece of the puzzle in working towards a more sustainable future and something the business is excited to do more of.
When light hits the silicon in a solar PV cell, electrical energy is created, which then needs to be converted from Direct Current (DC) to Alternating Current (AC) and works for all of your electrical needs
Positioning, shaded areas and having enough space circa 8m2 of unshaded area which is predominantly south facing
The amount of electricity produced depends on the size of system and the size of the suitable space available. We will design a system to suit your specific needs.
